How to Copy and Paste
Using a PC
(All clicks are LEFT clicks unless stated otherwise.)
- Move the cursor to the beginning of the text you want to copy and
click to set it.
- Click and hold down the mouse button while moving the mouse to drag
the cursor over the text. It will change color. This is called
'selecting the text' or 'highlighting'.
- Right click the selected text.
- On the popup menu that appears, click 'Copy'. The text is copied
to the invisible Windows clipboard.
- Move to your browser and click the mouse where you want to insert
the text.
- Right click, and select 'Paste'. The text will appear.
You can substitute the keyboard shortcuts:
To copy, highlight the text, then press the Ctrl key and the C key together.
To paste, move the cursor to the desired location, then press the Ctrl key
and the V key together.
Using a MAC
- Move the cursor to the beginning of the text you want to copy and
click to set it.

- Go to the Edit menu and select 'Copy'.
- Move to your browser and click the mouse where you want to insert
the text.
- Go to the Edit menu and select 'Paste'.

To copy, highlight the text, then press the Command (Apple button) and
the C key together.
To paste, move the cursor to the desired location, then press the Command
(Apple button) and the V key together.
